HISTORY
The State Bank of Aurora, located in Aurora, Minnesota, was incorporated April 18, 1906. In 1927, the State Bank of Aurora purchased the First National Bank, which was also located in this city. It has always been an independently owned community bank and is the oldest continuous business in Aurora.

The original bank building was a two-story frame structure at the corner of Main Street and 3rd Avenue North. In l918, this building was moved to the back of the lot, and a white brick building was constructed in front of it. The community was served from this facility until the present bank was built at 213 North Main Street in 1979.

The State Bank of Aurora has always taken pride in itself on the personalized service offered to the community. Historically, the bank has always returned a portion of its profits to the community to support community activities. The employees and directors are encouraged to be active in community organizations and celebrations, reflecting the banks dedication as a Community Bank.

Many changes have occurred in banking since 1906 and the State Bank of Aurora strives to “keep up with the times”. The State Bank of Aurora offers various types of banking services from commercial loans, real estate and consumer loans, savings and checking accounts, NOW accounts, Christmas Club accounts, Certificates of Deposit, IRA’s, Visa Credit cards, safety deposit boxes, wire transfer funds, Travelers Checks, Shazam Cash Cards, Visa Chek Cards, an automatic teller machine (ATM), Telephone Banking, and Internet Banking.
